More recently I switch to the Eventide Newfangled Elevate which can really push everything harder than all the previous named.īut the Oxford is still in my chain, for the Enhance part, and also to push 1 or 2 db before the final limiter. The limiter part is ok, but when it come to pushing it hard (I work mostly on electronic music like house, edm, dubstep, techno and hip hop), I have better result with other limiter like the Maximizer from Ozone or the Stealth from T-Racks. I keep using it mostly for the Enhance function, which it is (but it's just a guess) some sort of drive, but sounds very good and really enhance (as it say.) the sound without adding unpleasant distortion.
